Women's Basketball rolls to 4-1 record

No. 5-ranked St. Thomas (4-1 overall, 2-0 MIAC) topped host Hamline 59-41 in MIAC women’s basketball Saturday on the Pipers’ home court.


Carley Emery scored 14 points and Kellie Ring added 13. Taylor Young chipped in eight points, seven rebounds and five steals.


The Tommies, who led 34-16 at halftime, sank 8-of-21 from 3-point range, including 4-of-7 by Emery. UST posted a 21-5 edge in bench points and a 46-31 rebounding advantage.


UST plays three home games in a nine-day span beginning Monday against Concordia-Moorhead. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m. in Schoenecker Arena.
