Women's Basketball falls by 25 at Concordia

Junior Melissa Keiser scored 14 points and freshman Chelsea Wirtz scored 12, as each made four 3-point baskets, but St. Thomas (7-6 overall, 5-4 MIAC) lost a 73-48 decision Monday night at Concordia-Moorhead.
The Cobbers closed the game with a 20-5 run over the final 8:00 to pull away. UST trailed just 33-27 at halftime and pulled within two points early in the second half.
Tommie senior center Erica Opdahl played just 24 minutes due to foul trouble and had eight points and six rebounds.
The Toms shot 42% from the field but had 29 turnovers and took only four free throws. The Cobbers used a 25-2 advanatge in bench scoring and outrebounded UST 36-21.
UST plays Wednesday at St. Catherine and Saturday at Carleton.see box score here
