Sophomore

2008-09: Sparked the Tommies down the stretch as team was 10-2 after she joined the starting lineup in late January; in her last 13 games she averaged 12.1 ppg and 3.1 apg with 22 treys; scored 22 points at St. Olaf and 20 in MIAC playoff game at Concordia; played in 26 games and finished with 197 points and 55 assists; scored in double figures nine times… Undeclared major… 2008 graduate of St. Cloud Tech High, where she was school’s all-time leading scorer in basketball, played in Minnesota all-star series, and was captain in basketball and soccer… born 4-21-90… daughter of Nadine and Thomas Sears of St. Joseph.

Coach Sinn's Comments:

A quick and energetic point guard who commands the court and has an incredible ability to read the defense. She is a playmaker who handles the ball with confidence and is able to finish at any range. Her knowledge of the game, presence on the court, and athleticism will continue to be a major contributing factor in our success. She is has a great team player mentality, has excellent leadership skills, and is able to set the pace of the game. On defense, her quick hands and athleticism continually cause turnovers which she is quick to convert onto the scoreboard. She is a returning sophomore who averaged 7.6 points and started in 11 of 26 varsity games last season as a freshman. She was a ‘08 grad from St. Cloud Tech where she was captain, all-conference, and all-state in Basketball and Soccer. Her parents are Nadine and Tom Sears.

Prior to St. Thomas:

A 2008 graduate from Tech High School. She lettered 7 times in soccer and basketball. She lettered 3 times in soccer and was a team captain. She lettered 4 times in basketball, was a team captain, and is the All Time Leading Scorer at Tech High. She participated in the State tournament and All Star Series in 2008.
