Coach Sinn's Comments:

One of our most consistent threats on both ends of the floor.  Has the ability as a post to step out and hit the three as well as bang inside with the bigs. She is physical, versatile, and has a deep knowledge of the game. On defense she will shut down any opponent, and is a strong finisher on the offensive end. She is also a tremendous team player who always does the little things to get the job done and make us better. She started 14 games for the Tommies last season, averaging 4.7ppg and 4.4 rebounds per outing. Sarah will be a huge presence for us this season. She is a 08’ grad from Red River High in North Dakota, where she led her team in basketball and volleyball to the state tournament three times each. She also received all-conference and all-state honors in both and participated in the all-star game for basketball. Her parents are Scott and Katie Smith.

Prior to St. Thomas:

A 2008 graduate of Red River High School, North Dakota. She letter four years straight in both volleyball and basketball. In volleyball she was two time All-Conference, one time All-State, and a team captain. In basketball she was two time All-Conference, one time All-State, and a team captain. She participated in the state tournament for both sports three times each and played in the ND Lions All-Star basketball game.

Personal:

Born July 10, 1989...daughter of Scott and Katie Smith.

The most important thing I have learned at St. Thomas is….hard work can get you anywhere.

The funniest story from my childhood is... when I tried to kill a skunk with my brother using a slingshot and a rubber bow and arrow set.

My dream job would be...a music director for movies and TV shows
