Junior Taylor Berg and sophomore Erin Statz placed sixth and seventh in a field of 211 runners to lead the Tommie women's cross country team to sixth out of 17 teams at Saturday's Connecticut College Invite in Waterford, Ct.
Berg ran 22:43 and Statz clocked 23:47. Larissa Peyton took 40th in 23:38; Kayla Goeden finished 44th in 23:51; Shelby Yoakum placed 58th in 24:13; Laura Hamp placed 72nd in 24:41; Sarah McNamara was 86th in 24:56; and Melissa Engstrom was 95th in 25:09.
Two nationally-ranked teams placed in the top three after Division I Rutgers (48) -- Plattsburgh (56) and Tufts (64).
