Laura Heck gets MIAC Women's Golf honor

St. Thomas' Laura Heck (SO-Chisholm) was named MIAC Player of the Year in women's golf for 2007-08.

Heck had the the lowest stroke average among MIAC players with a 79.1 in 2007-08. Heck won the MIAC Championship in October by eight shots and also tied for first at the Midwest Classic this spring. Heck is currently ranked fifth in the country. At the 2007 national meet, Heck tied for 10th in the field of 111 players at 321.
