The St. Thomas women's golf team finished seventh of 20 teams at the NCAA Championships in Waverly, Iowa. The four-day, 72-hole event concluded Friday.
The Tommies, who placed in 2007, slipped to a 329 score on Friday and finished four strokes behind fifth-place Otterbein and one shot behind Gustavus.
Methodist won its 11th consecutive NCAA team crown by 39 strokes over DePauw.
Sophomore Laura Heck led the Tommies with scored of 78-80-78-80/316 to tied for 24th out of 111. Sophomore Amy Anderson shot 80-75-80-86/321 to tied for 31st. Senior Holly Noble shot 84-83-78-79/324 for 42nd. Katie Potts tied for 50th at 80-83-81-84/328. Senior Megan Hanson shot 83-80-83-86/332.
