
The Tommie women's hockey team swept St. Mary's this weekend, 3-0 and 5-1, and moved to 5-3 on the conference season.
Alise Riedel stopped 22 shots in Friday’s 3-0 win, secured with an empty-net goal in the last minute. She came back with 22 saves in Saturday’s 5-1 victory, to finish with 44 of 45 on the weekend. Riedel lowered her season goals-against average to 1.61 and moved her save percentage to .949. In 55 career games her GAA is 1.54.
On Friday, Lauren Mumm scored a first-period short-handed goal and 59 seconds later Paige Baldwin added a power-play goal. Tara Baago added an empty-net goal with 50 seconds left in the game.
Christina Rozeske had three goals to lead Saturday's road victory.
The Tommies play St. Olaf next Saturday on home ice (7:30 p.m.) and Jan. 27 in Northfield.
