Sophomore Kaylee Keys scored two power-play goals in her first MIAC game and the visiting Tommies outshot Hamline 25-11 in Friday night's 6-2 women's hockey victory at St. Paul Academy's Drake Arena.
Freshman Korinne O'Connor had a goal and two assists for the Tommies (6-5-2 overall, 5-1-1 MIAC). UST also got goals from Marie Omann, Jamie Hollway and Kristin Grossman.
Hamline (3-9-2, 0-6-1) tied the score 1-1 late in period one on the first of two Erin Kastner goals, but the Toms countered with three consecutive goals for a 4-1 lead.
The teams play again Saturday at UST's ice in Mendota Heights.
