Women's Hockey gets 5 on All-MIAC

Conference runner-up St. Thomas had five players named to the 21-player first team of the All-MIAC women's hockey honor team announced Wednesday.

Two repeat first-team honorees are forward Jackie Carroll (JR-St. Paul/Cretin-Derham Hall) and goalie Lauren Bradel (SO-Bemidji). Forward Ashley Reinhard (SR-Eagan) and two defensemen were honored -- Kristine Beese (SO-Coon Rapids) and Alicia Behr (JR-Burnsville).

Forward Kara Ledel (SO-Shakopee)  was among 19 named to the honorable mention team.

In 104 career games, Reinhardt, a Finance major with a 3.45 gpa, has 50 goals and 62 assists for 112 points. In 79 career games, Carroll has 50 goals and 51 assists for 101 points. In 52 carer game, Ledel has 20 goals and 15 assists for 35 points. In 49 games, Beese has 15 goals and 21 assists. In 52 games, Behr has five goals and five assists.

In 37 career appearances, Bradel is 25-10 with 11 shutouts, a .931 save percenatge and a 1.70 GAA.

In 18-game MIAC stats this season, Reinhardt fiished first in the conference in assists (20) and second in points (25); Carroll finished fifth in points (22) and third in assists (14); Ledel tied for sixth in goals (10); and Beese is tied for second in defenseman points (11). Bradel finished first in save percentage (.955) and second in goals-agaainst average (1.00).
