Lauren Bradel is 1st team Hockey All-American

St. Thomas goalie Lauren Bradel (SO-Bemidji) was named Division III first-team West All-America by the American College Hockey Coaches Association (ACHA).

Bradel, who stopped 31 of 32 shots in a 1-0 MIAC playoff loss to the No. 3-ranked Gusties, finished 17-5 on the season and ranks in the top eight nationally in both save percentage (.945) and GAA (1.32). UST held foes to two or less goals in 22 of 27 games. In 10 road games this year vs. MIAC teams, UST allowed just seven goals (one empty net).

In 39 career games, Bradel is 26-11 with a 1.69 GAA, a .932 save percentage and 11 shutouts.

Gustavus' Stephanie Ubl was the other MIAC player on the six-player West honor team.
