Women's Hockey gets 3-0 win over CSC

Kristen Grossman had a goal and an assist and No. 10-ranked St. Thomas capped a weekend sweep of St. Catherine with Saturday's 3-0 home victory in MIAC women's hockey play. Junior Lauren Bradel had 25 saves in her first shutout of the season.

The Tommies (4-0 overall, 2-0 MIAC) scored seven goals from seven different players on the weekend sweep against an improving Wildcat team (1-4, 0-2).

Grossman's first period goal was the game's lone scoring of the first 49:00. Freshman Taylor Schluter scored at 9:28 of the last period for a 2-0 lead, and Kelly Reddin scored in the final 4:00 for a three-goal cushion.

The Tommies plays two games next weekend at Augsburg -- Friday night on the Auggies' campus and Saturday night at home.
