The St. Thomas women's soccer team scored two first-half goals and cruised to a 3-1 win Wednesday night at UW-LaCrosse.
Nicole Sheehan, Mary Grace Flesher and Taylor Sebrowski scored their first goals of the season for UST. Jaclyn Glaser tallied two assists, and Jenna Savino and Jenna Birch each tallied one.
The Tommies' Callan Faulkner had five saves in goal. The Eagles scored in the 90th minute to avert a shutout. The Eagles (8-5-1) came in with eight shutouts on the season.
The Tommies (7-4-2 overall, 4-2-2 MIAC) have a busy weekend with two road contests -- Saturday at Gustavus (11 a.m.), and Sunday at UW-Stout (1 p.m.). Gustavus has a 3-11 overall record, while Stout is 10-1-1.
