Women's Soccer loses 1-0 to Mac in overtime

Maddy Cochrane scored the game's only goal 7:36 into the first overtime to lead Macalester to a 1-0 win over St. Thomas in MIAC women's soccer play Saturday at UST's South Field. It was UST's first conference regular season loss in two seasons.

The Tommies (12-3-1 overall, 7-1-1 MIAC) had a 20-game MIAC regular-season unbeaten streak end and an 11-game season unbeaten streak halted. The Toms outshot Mac 19-6 but was unable to get the winnign goal in regulation.

Rosie Glenn-Finer had eight saves in goal for the Scots (10-4-2, 5-3-1).

UST is now three points behind first-place Concordia-Moorhead, and plays the Cobbers Tuesday at home at 3:30 p.m.
