Late, late (really late) goal lifts Women's Soccer

Sophomore Erin Sprangers scored with 10 seconds left in the second overtime to give the visiting Tommies a 2-1 win over Gustavus in MIAC women's soccer play Saturday in St. Peter.

The win let UST finish in sixth place in the conference and close the season with 10 victories. Freshman Amanda Domeier had five saves in 110 minutes in the victory for UST (10-7-1 overall, 5-5-1 MIAC).

Betsy Messner scored in the 18th minute, assisted by Emma Welton. The Gusties tied the game with a rebound goal in the 63rd minute. Sprangers decided the game at 1:09:50 with her team-best fifth goal of 2007.
