The Tommie women's swimming and diving team had some solid performances but lost Friday's dual meet at defending MIAC champion Carleton in Northfield, 205-94.
Freshman Katie Bromback of Sparta, N.J., had a good night as she won the 100 fly (62.24) and took second in the 200 fly (2:10.19) and 200 IM (2:21.09).
Sophomore Kasya Mestnik won one-meter diving with a score of 174.05.
Other individual second-place finishes for the Toms came from All-American Jena Root in the 100 back (1:01.85) and 100 back (2:18.02); Layla Clauss in the 200 free (2:04.04) and 500 free (5:33.21), and freshman Karly Harrod of Burnsville in the 200 breaststroke (2:37.50).
St. Thomas' women compete Saturday in Moorhead against the Cobbers and Auggies in a triangular meet.
