
The Tommie women’s swimming and dicing team placed fourth out of 10 teams at the Friday-Saturday UW-River Falls Invitational, held at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
UST scored 377 and finished behind UW-Eau Claire (937), Gustavus (665.5) and Luther (397). Jena Root was second in both the 100 back in 1:00.62 and 200 back in 2:13.26.
Layla Clauss placed third in the 500 free in 5:28.27, third in the 1,650 free in 18:43.27, and eighth in the 400 Im in 5:04.49.
Becca Ney was second in the 100 free in 54/45; fourth in the 50 free in 25.05 and fourth in the 200 free in 1:59.34.
Karly Harrod was fifth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.27 and seventh in the 200 breaststroke in 2:36.21.
Katie Bromback was second in the 200 fly in 2:15.90, third in the 100 fly in 1:01.26 and ninth in the 200 IM in 2:19.17.
Sam Simon was fifth in the 1,650 free in 18:53.69.
The women took fifth in the 200 free relay in 1:42.50 with Root, Wendy Consoer, Ali Krieger and Ney and fifth in the 400 free relay in 3:36.79 with Jenny Bruno, Clauss, Alexis Rodarmel and Ney.
UST also took fourth in the 400 medley relay in 4:11.91 with Root, Harrod, Bromback and Ney; and placed third in the 200 medley relay in 1:54.68 with Root, Harrod, Krieger and Consoer.
