Sprinter Erika Tipp gets MIAC weekly honor
January 21, 2013Sophomore sprinter Erika Tipp on Monday was named MIAC Track Athlete of the Week for women's indoor track and field.
Tipp, of Hudson, Wis., won the 60 meters (7.97) and the 200 meters (26.76) at Friday's season-opening MIAC Opener at Anderson Fieldhouse.
Last spring as a freshman, Tipp received All-America honors on the Tommies' 4x400 relay which placed fifth at outdoor nationals. She also ran on the Tommies' MIAC indoor and outdoor champion 4x400 teams.
