The Tommie women's track and field team ranked among the Division III leaders in 2013 with seven All-Academic honorees by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA).
The elite award goes to indoor or outdoor track athletes who compete at nationals -- or finish on the top-35 individual or top-25 relay lists in Division III -- and who maintain a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade-point average.
St. Thomas had seven individuals recognized -- a total surpassed by just 10 teams. The UST honorees are Al-Americas Taylor Berg (SR-Eagan), Emily Van Heel (JR-Swanville/Little Falls), Christina Rozeske (JR-Owatonna), Angela Tipp (SO-Hudson, Wis.) and Erika Tipp (SO-Hudson, Wis.), plus distance runner Erin Statz (JR-Lincoln, Neb./Pius), and relay runner Aimee Junget (FR-Chaska).

The Tommies also received the USTFCCA team academic honor, and was among the top 15 teams with a grade-point average of 3.51. UST was among nine MIAC teams and 148 Division III programs recognized, all with a gpa of 3.10 or better.
