Jill Ylonen gets MIAC honor

St. Thomas sprinter/jumper Jill Ylonen was named MIAC Track & Field Athlete of the Week (field events) Monday after her 17-0 long jump in last Friday's UW-River Falls Earlybird Invite. Ylonen also was second to teammate Heidi Vogel in the 55 -meter dash and won the 200 meters.

Ylonen just missed her career best of 17-0- 3-4 set in the 2002 MIAC Indoor Championships. The Tommies' school indoor record is 17-9 3-4 set 20 years ago by Martha Andersen.
