Two firsts for Women's Track at SCSU Invite

The St. Thomas women's indoor track and field team had two firsts in Saturday's non-team scored St. Cloud State Husky Invite.

Crystal Baloun won the weight throw (40-11 3-4) and was third in the shot put (35-10 3-4), Ellen Crow was fifth in the shot put (33-7 1-2) and sixth in the weight throw (33-7).

UST also won the 4x400 relay (3:58.17).

Teresa Smock was second in the 800 (2:22.85). Jill Ylonen was third in the 60 dash (8.11) and fifth in the long jump (16-4 1-2). Heidi Vogel was second in the triple jump (34-10), sixth in the long jump (15-11 3-4) and eighth in the 400 (61.14).

Kristal Grigsby was third in the high jump (5-0 1-2) and fourth in the 200 (27.98). Katie Joyce was sixth in the 200 (28.42). In the 500, Mary McKee (1:25.77), Tish Dusich (1:29.50) and Kristen Winchell (1:30.81) placed 3-4-5. In the 1,000, Brigid Power (3:04.42) and Alano Lucio (3:18.10) were third and fifth. In the 60 hurdles, Molly Bauman was fifth (9.80).
