St. Thomas hosted nearly a dozen women's teams in Wednesday's non-scored Tommie Twilight track and field meet in O'Shaughnessy Stadium.

St. Thomas had three NCAA provisional marks. The 4x400 relay team of Jill Ylonen, Mollie Hupp, Heidi Vogel and Teresa Smock won in 3:51.87 -- just over the NCAA automatic mark of 3:51.00. That ranks fifth in Division III. Hupp placed second in the 400 meters in 57.81, just over her previous provisional time of 57.38; and Karolien Bastiaens won the pole vault in 11-9 3/4, under her previous automatic qualifying mark of 12-4.

The Tommies won four other events -- the 4x400 relay (3:51.87); Erika Wetzel in the javelin (116-2); Molly Bauman in the 400 hurdles (64.85); and Tish Dusich in the 800 (2:19.15).

Second-place finishers were the 4x100 relay (49.38); and Katie Reynolds in the javelin (109-1). Third-place finishers were Teresa Smock in the 400 (58.81); Brigid Power in the 1,500 (4:44.86); Nicole Gurgel in the 5,000 (18:50.36); and Jill Ylonen in the long jump (17-1). Fourths were scored by Chelsea Guettinger in the 5,000 (8:52.55); Alano Lucio in the steeplechase; and Heidi Vogel in the triple jump (35-0).

In the long jump, Andretta Colley (16-4), Theresa Meath (16-4) and Bastiaens (16-1 1-2) placed 5-6-8; Amanda Guralski was seventh in the javelin (97-7); Alicia Wolff placed ninth in the 400 (61.65); Ellen Crow and Crystal Baloun tied for sixth in the shot put (37-5); and Baloun was seventh in the hammer (135-0) and ninth in the discus (112-0).
