see complete results hereThe St. Thomas women's indoor track and field team took seven firsts at Friday's non-team scored St. Olaf Quadrangular in Northfield. St. Olaf won six events and Carleton five in the early-season competition.
Andretta Colley and Brigid Power won the long jump and 3,000 in their 2005 indoor season debuts. Colley leaped 17-3 1-4 -- six inches off the NCAA provisional qualifying mark -- to win the long jump, jumped 34-0 1-4 for second in the triple jump and also placed second in the 55 dash (7.83). Power and teammate Chelsea Guettinger cruised to a 1-2 finish in the 3,000 in 10:40.38 and 10:45.98, respectively.
Freshman Selina Dehn swept the high jump (4-11) and triple jump (35-1 1-4) and placed third in the 200 dash (28.23).
Molly Bauman won the 55 hurdles (8.84) and took second in the long jump (15-7).
Christina Chapman won the 200 dash (26.98) and ran on UST's runner-up 4x400 relay (4:12.98).
Jada Lewis was second in the high jump (4-11), sixth in the long jump (14-7 1-4) and sixth in the triple jump (29-9 1-4).
Other Tommie top-six finishers were Nkechi Alaike, third in the long jump (15-2) and fourth in the 200 (28.24); Nicki Hanson, third in the 600 (1:50.36); Sarah Just, fourth in the 55 dash (8.05); Meghan Mayer, third in the 1000 (3:16.37); Nikki Mammens, third in the 55 hurdles (9.92) and fifth in the triple jump (31-4 3-4); Kate Staat, third in the 55 dash (7.96), fifth in the 200 (28.57) and fourth in the long jump (14-11 1-2); Elaine Reeves, fifth in the 400 (67.74); Trisha Coffee, sixth in the mile (6:06.56); Jenny Olin (11:14.54) and Anne Iddines (11:24.93), fourth and fifth in the 3,000; Alicia Wolff, sixth in the 200 (28.66); Kalsey Larson, sixth in the 1,000 (3:43.69); and Dedra Brey, sixth in the (1:58.34).
