Women's Track 3rd of 4 at Border Battle

Andretta Colley hit the NCAA provisional qualifying standard in the long jump as she took second place in 17-8 3/4 to lead the Tommie women's track and field team at Saturday's Border Battle at St. Olaf. The Toms placed third of four teams with four firsts and three runner-up placings.
UW-Stout, UW-Eau Claire, St. Thomas and St. Olaf placed 1-2-3-4 in the team race.
Kristal Grigsby won the 55 meters in 7.50, just off the 7.32 provisional time standard, and took third in the high jump (5-1 1/4). Freshman Nkechi Alaike was second in both the 55 (7.60) and 200 (27.53).
Brigid Power won the mile (5:20); Alicia Wolff won the 600 (1:41.06); and UST won the 4x400 relay (4:03.49).
Molly Bauman was second in the 55 hurdles in 8.73, just off the provisional qualifying time of 8.60.
Thirds were scored by the 800 relay (1:51.74); Christina Chapman in the 400 (61.11); Kristen Winchell in the 1,000 (3:18.68); and Selina Dehn in the triple jump (35-5). Fourths were scored by Mary McKee in the 600 (1:44.57); Dehn in the high jump (4-11 1/2); and Colley in the triple jump (35-3). Fifths were scored by Meghan Mayer in the mile (5:36.90); Ronni Hamilton in the 800 (2:33.10); Anne Iddins in the 3,000 (11:25.32); and Nikki Mammen in the long jump (16-3).
