Power, Grigsby hit NCAA provisionals in Women's Track

see Saturday Duke results heresee Friday Duke results hereAll-Americans Brigid Power and Kristal Grigsby hit NCAA provisional qualifying marks at the Duke (N.C.) Invitational in the first outdoor track and field competition of the spring for the St. Thomas women.
Power ran 4:36.12 in the 1,500 meters and placed 31st out of 141 runners against mostly Division I competitors. The NCAA automatic qualifying time for Division III nationals is 4:34.0.
Grigsby hit a D-III provisional qualifying mark in the high jump of 5-5 1-4. She also went 35-10 in the triple jump and 17-10 1-4 in the long jump.
UST also clocked under the 4x400 relay provisional time with a 3:57.64 clocking.
Andretta Colley jumped 17-8 in the long jump and 35-8 3-4 in the triple jump.
In the 5,000, Chelsea Guettinger placed 24th in 18:34.27. Natalie Stork (19:20.39) and Jenny Olin (19:28.67) also placed in the top 50.
Molly Bauman ran 15.80 in the 100 hurdles. Selina Dehn went 34-10 1-4 in the triple jump.
UST also had some athletes compete at Saturday's UW-River Falls Invitational. Ronni Hamilton took second in the 1,500 (5:04.02); Erika Wetzel was third in the javelin (110-5); Beth Ebert was third in the high jump (4-11); Jada Lewis was seventh in the high jump (4-9), eighth in the triple jump (33-7 1-2) and ninth in the long jump (15-11); Megan Seibel was eighth in the long jump (16-3 1-4), ninth in the triple jump (33-3 3-4); Katie Stanton was seventh in the high jump (4-9); Shannon Kane was seventh in the hammer (121-8); and Nikki Hanson was 10th in the 800 (2:32.24).
