Fri. NCAA Track: Tommie women tied for sixth

see D-III track & field home page with results, schedule hereFriday was a quiet day for Tommie tracksters at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships in Waverly, Iowa.
On the women's side, Kristal Grigsby placed 10th in the high jump at 5-5 and didn't score. The Tommies still have 16 points -- from Thursday's 1-3 long jump finishes by Andretta Colley and Grigsby -- and are tied for sixth place in the team race.
On the men's side, Cory Fusco was unable to make the finals in the 800 meters with a preliminary time of 1:53.88.
Saturday, Dave Diercks throws the javelin for the men and will try to get St. Thomas in the point column. The UST women will run the 4x400 relay; have Brigid Power in the 1,500 finals; and have Grigsby and Colley in the triple jump.
