Women's Track gets 3 provisional marks at St. Olaf

see complete results hereSenior All-Americans Kristal Grigsby and Molly Bauman were a part of three NCAA provisional qualifying standards for the Tommies at Saturday's 18-team St. Olaf Invitational. No team scores were kept but UST had four firsts among 10 top-three finishes.
Bauman, Christina Chapman, Grigsby and Kate Staat ran 48.49 for a close second to Division II Minnesota State Mankato. That hit the NCAA provisional qualifying time and ranks 10th-best in Division III.
Grigsby also hit a provisional mark in the high jump with a season-best 5-5 3-4 for first place in a field of 26. That ranks 10th-best in Division III. She won the long jump in 18-1 3-4 in a field of 43, and took third in the triple jump (36-6 1-4) in a field of 38.
Bauman outran 24 others to win the 400 hurdles (62.60) and improved her NCAA provisional time. She now ranks fourth in Division III with that time. Bauman also took fourth in the 100 meters (12.81) and fifth in the 100 hurdles (15.93).
Jenny Olin outlasted 19 others to win the 10,000 meters (38.48.79). Chelsea Guettinger placed fourth (38:48.25). In the steeplechase, Anne Iddins took second out of 15 runners in 11:45.95.
In other top-eight Tommie finishes, the 4x800 relay team placed second (9:39.78); Chapman took third in both the 200 (25.87) and 400 meters (58.38); Shionna Evans placed fifth in the 400 (59.31) and sixth in the 100 meters (13.09); Ronni Hamilton took eighth in the 1,500 meters (4:58.64); Selina Dehn took fourth in the triple jump (35-10) and sixth in the high jump (5-1 3-4); Katie Theisen was fourth in the long jump (16-6 1-2) and eighth in the triple jump (35-0 1-2); Jada Lewis was fifth in the long jump (16-3 1-4) and seventh in the triple jump (35-1 3-4); Alyssa Salomone was eighth in the high jump (4-11 3-4); Megan Seibel was eighth in the long jump (16-1 1-2); and in the discus, Shara Guidry was fifth (127-7) and Carol Comp placed eighth (123-10).
