Women's Track gets six top-three placings at Mac

The St. Thomas women's track and field team had six top-three finishes at Saturday's Macalester Invitational. UST held out several athletes in the multi-team meet, which was was marred by wind and rain.

The Tommies' 4x400 relay took first in 4:04.8. Shionna Evans won the 200 meters (26.90). Shara Guidry took second in the discus (123-2) and eighth in the shot put; Erika Wetzel placed second in the javelin (112-0); Kristal Grigsby took third in the long jump (16-8); freshman Jane Dolan took third in the 3,000 meters (11:13.8) and teammate Stephanie Henniff placed sixth (12:10.7); Kate Staat placed fourth in the 100 meters (13.0); Brittany Dusich took fourth in the 3,000 steeplechase (12:28.97); Kalsey Larson placed seventh in the 1,500 (4:56.60); Katie Theisen took eighth in the long jump (15-5 1-4); and Jada Lewis took eighth in the high jump (4-8 1-4).

St. Thomas hosts a Tommie Twilight meet Wednesday (4 p.m.) at O'Shaughnessy Stadium.
