The Tommie men's golf team had the third best score on Sunday, a 298, and closed in a tie for fifth place out of 21 teams in the final round of the 36-hole St. John's Fall Invite.
Alex Kapraun shot 70 on Sunday, the third best round of the tournament, and closed at 151 for 16th place. Bennett Schroeder shot 71 on Sunday and tied teammate David Anderson at 153 for 24th place.
Manitoba (590), Nebraska Wesleyan (592), Gustavus (599) St. John's (599), St. Thomas (612), St. Olaf (612), Luther (615) and UW-Stout (615) took the first eight spots.

Pat Larkin shot a 73 and sits in eighth place, but the St. Thomas men's golf team sits out of the top eight going into the final round of the 36-hole St. John's Fall Invite. The final 18 holes will be contested Sunday in Sauk Centre.
St. Thomas' first team shot 314 at the Sartell course and is in ninth place in the 21-team field. The Toms' second team is tied for 11th at 318.
David Anderson and John Young shot 78s and Brian Parkhurst and Scott Hird shot 79s.
Gustavus and Manitoba share the lead at 298, with Nebraska Wesleyan (299) and St. John's (300) in striking distance.
