St. Thomas' Emmet Herb is among 24 players named to the PING Division III Men's Golf All-America team for 2017-18.
This is the sixth time in the last seven seasons that Tommie Men's Golf has had a player receive All-America or Academic All-America honors.
During his sophomore season of 2017-18, Herb was named conference Player of the Year after closing with the MIAC low scoring average for the 2017-18 regular season.
Herb helped the Tommies share 11th place at last month's national meet. On the final day, he played his final 13 holes at even par to shoot 75 on the round. Herb had a team-best 14 birdies in the 72-hole tournament, and played his last 36 holes at 1-over.
Prior to the NCAA Championships, Herb's last six spring rounds were scores of 68, 74, 71, 68, 70 and 68.
He posted a 73.4 stroke average for 22 rounds on the school year. As a freshman in 2016-17, Herb's average was 76.3. In his two Tommie seasons he's had nine rounds of 71 or better.
