Senior All-America Emmet Herb placed second out of 90 players with a two-under 214 total. Seven of Herb's last eight rounds have been under par.
The Toms were in 12th place after shooting 312 on Saturday's first 18 holes. They rebounced with a 296 on the second round on Saturday, and then shot 290 on the Sunday round.
No. 2-ranked Emory (874), No. 1-ranked Illinois Wesleyan (881), No. 3-ranked Huntingdon (891), St. Thomas (898) and No. 9-ranked Washington and Lee (907) took the top five spots in the 18-team field.
The Toms beat the Nos. 4-5-6-7-9-10-11-12-15-16 and 20 ranked teams.
