Late goal gives Men's Hockey first win

Freshman Brett Gravelle's first collegiate goal was a memorable one. The Tommie forward fell to the ice but was able to slap the puck past the Falcon goalie with 3:21 to play and give host St. Thomas a 3-2 win over UW-River Falls Friday night at Saint Thomas Ice Arena.

Goalie Benjamin Myers stopped 40 of 42 shots for the Tommies (1-1-1), who were outshot 42-19.

Myers and his teammates killed off a 2:00, 5-on-3 power play, and immediately killed another 2:00 power play midway through the second period.

Michael Dockry scored two goals in span of 8:01 in period one to erase an early 1-0 Falcon lead.
