Men's Hockey evens record with 3-2 comeback win

Sophomore Brett Gravelle scored a goal and two assists to lead No. 15-ranked St. Thomas to a 3-2 comeback win over Hamline Sunday afternoon at the MIAC Showcase tourney in Blaine.

Benjamin Myers stopped 25 of 27 shots and helped kill off all four Piper power plays for the Tommies (1-1). Johnny Panvica added three assists.

Sophomore Jack Christensen scored his second collegiate goal with 2:53 left in regulation time to break a 2-2 tie. John Peterson scored an early goal and Gravelle scored the tying goal midway though the contest.

Gravelle has scored seven goals and 10 assists in his last 11 games dating back to last season,

The Tommies start MIAC play against St. Mary's -- Friday night in Winona and Saturday night at Saint Thomas Ice Arena in Mendota Heights.
