A long travel day ended on a down note for Tommie Men's Hockey. Host Nichols (Mass.) converted two power-play goals en route to a 3-1 non-conference win over St. Thomas Friday night.

UST, which outshot Nichols 46-19, fell behind 3-0 before Jack Christensen scored a power-play goal midway through the third period.

The Toms' travels to Boston were delayed by the megastorm on the east coast. St. Thomas took an early-morning flight and played a few hours after arriving at the arena.

St. Thomas (6-4-1) closes the weekend trip Saturday afternoon at 1:30 against Connecticut College.
