St. Thomas closed out a hard-fought weekend sweep with Saturday's 2-1 MIAC men's hockey win over Concordia Saturday afternoon in Moorhead. Brett Gravelle scored the go-ahead goal with 6:50 to play just as a Tommie power-play try was expiring.

UST edged Concordia 3-2 on Friday night in the series opener.

Benjamin Myers had 37 saves for the Tommies (12-6-1 overall, 7-2-1 MIAC), who have won five in a row to climb into the thick of the conference title race with six games to play. Myers stopped 62 of 65 Cobbers shots on the weekend.

Four of St. Thomas' five wins during this victory streak have come on the road.

Johnny Panvica scored the opening goal for UST, his second of the weekend.

Jacob Stephan had 38 saves for Concordia. Zach Doerring scored the lone goal for the Cobbers (8-10-3, 5-6-1).
