Gravelle, Barnes lead Men's Hockey MIAC honors

St. Thomas Men's Hockey had five players honored on the 2018-19 All-MIAC teams announced Monday.

Junior forwards Brett Gravelle and senior Tanner Barnes were among 20 players name to the first team. Junior defender Derek Olmschenk was among 10 named honorable mention.

Two Tommie freshmen, goalie Cam Burggrabe and forward Luke Radetic, made the six-player All-Rookie Team.

St. Thomas tied for third place in the conference and had the second best overall record at 14-7-5.


Brett Gravelle

Repeat first-team All-MIAC honoree... Had a team-best 18 goals and 31 points in 26 games... His 18 goals were second most among MIAC players... The Tommies are 23-5-3 in games on his career when Gravelle scores a goal.... Scored a point in 14 of the last 16 games.... In 78 career games has 41 goals and 44 assists, including eight game-winning and one game-tying goal.


Tanner Barnes

In 26 games had 12 goals and 10 assists... in 74 games over three seasons had 22 goals and 24 assists.


Derek Olmschenk

Had one goal and one assist in 25 games... In 76 career games has four goals and nine assists.


Luke Radetic

Scored 14 goals and nine assists in 26 games.


Cam Burggrabe

In 17 games went 10-2-4 with .914 save percentage, a 2.24 goals-against average, with two shutouts.
