No. 12-ranked Tommie Men's Soccer added two more program milestones with Saturday's 1-0 home win over Macalester in the MIAC playoff championship game.

A stadium-record crowd of approximately 350 saw St. Thomas win its first MIAC playoff crown in the 14-year history of the conference playoffs.

Coach Jon Lowery's Toms will learn their NCAA playoff assignment on Monday, as they are in the NCAA field for the first time since 1995 and sixth time in program history.

Aidan Hogan had three saves and the Tommies (16-1-3) recorded their school-record 15th shutout of the season. UST has allowed just seven goals in 20 games. The Toms improved to 10-1-2 at home.

Macalester (13-4-3) took two 1-0 losses to St. Thomas this season.

Junior Shae Bottum found the bottom left corner of the net with 38:00 left, assisted by Christian Elliehausen, and the Tommie defense did the rest. It was the 11th career goal for Bottum. The Toms are 10-0 in games on his career when Bottum scores a goal.
