Men's Soccer win streak hits six

Sophomore Halvor Houg converted a corner kick in the 23rd minute, assisted by freshman Jake Amey, to lead Tommie Men's Soccer to a 1-0 victory over Augsburg in MIAC play Tuesday night in Minneapolis.

Senior Aidan Hogan was in goal and had one save. He recorded his 48th career victory with his 28th shutout.

The Tommies (13-3-1 overall, 6-2-1 MIAC) ran their win streak to six and kept alive hopes for a top-three conference finish. Coach Jon Lowery's team closes the regular season Saturday with a 3:30 p.m. game against Bethel.

Augsburg (10-2-2, 5-2-2) took its first home loss in eight games this season and dropped into fifth place. The Auggies were outshot 18-6, including a 7-1 margin in UST shots on goal.

Houg now has four goals on the season. Amey has recorded three goals and three assists during the current six-game win streak.
