Patrick Keyes enters his fourth year as assistant coach for the University of St. Thomas track & field teams, working with men’s and women’s sprinters/hurdlers. He also serves as assistant coach for men’s cross country.
His efforts have helped both track and field programs to claim six straight Indoor and Outdoor MIAC Championship team titles. During that same time, his athletes have won 18 individual MIAC Championship titles and a combined nine individual NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championship qualifiers. In 2018, Katie Murray earned All-American honors in the indoor 200m.
From 2013 to 2015, Keyes was assistant track and field coach at Edina High School in Edina, MN working primarily with the hurdles.
Keyes was a four-year track and field student-athlete at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Eau Claire, Wis. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Marketing. Keyes served as team captain and capped off his career by qualifying for the 2011 Indoor NCAA Championships in the 55 hurdles.
He lives in St. Paul and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Leadership in Student Affairs from the University of St. Thomas.
