Wilson leads W.Golf to fifth place

Emma Wilson tied for ninth in a field of 60 players to lead St. Thomas to fifth out of nine teams at the two-day UST Women's Golf Invitational, which concluded Sunday in Becker.

St. Olaf topped Carleton by 18 strokes for the team title. UST finished five shots behind fourth-place Concordia.

UST's Kayla Westling played as an individual and took 12th and her final round 82 was the ninth best score on Sunday. Four other Tommie players finished in the top 30 -- Katie Kruchten took 16th at 85-88/173; Mari Liestman tied for 22nd (86-92/178); and Annelise Keune (89-91/180) and Cassy Norton (85-95/180) tied for 26th.
