Senior Katie Balison shot 86 on Monday and tied for 31st place to lead Tommie Women's Golf to eighth place out of 11 teams at the MIAC Championships in Becker, Minn.

The 54-hole event concluded Monday.

UST shot 356 to edge Concordia by four shots for eighth place.

Courtney Shorter tied for 37th at 268 after Monday's 82. Sydney Steinmetz finished in 40th at 269 after shooting 98 on Monday. Joleen Werden shot 90 on Monday and finsihed at 271.

Freshman Sydney Steinmetz shot 83 on Sunday and is tied for 23rd out of 55 entrants at 171 after the second of three rounds at the 2018 MIAC Women's Golf Championships in Becker, Minn.

The 54-hole event concludes with 18 holes on Monday.

With four players in their first conference tournament, St. Thomas sits in ninth place out of 11 teams at 370-245/715, 18 shots out of seventh place.

Kate Balison also sits in the top 30 after Sunday's 88 and 177 score. Joleen Werden improved 13 shots from Saturday with an 84. Courtney Shorter shot 90 and is at 186.
