Women's Golf fifth out of eight at Bethel meet

Kate Balison and Courtney Shorter had top-20 finishes in a field of 48 players to lead Tommie Women's Golf to fifth place out of eight teams at the Bethel tournament. The 36-hole event concluded Saturday in Victoria, Minn.

The Tommies had scores of 337 and 332 for a 669 total, 17 shots behind fourth-place Gustavus.

Balison (83-82/165) and Shorter (82-83/165) tied for 19th place. Sydney Steinmetz (85-82) tied for 23rd. Erin Kehoe (87-85) tied for 29th. Joleen Werden (90-92) tied for 39th. 

Playing as individuals, Sam Auman (86-92) and Elizabeth Azar (87-93) had top-30 finishes.
