Close calls? No prob for Women's Hockey

Junior goalie Kenzie Torpy stopped 33 of 34 shots as Tommie Women's Hockey completed a road weekend sweep with Sunday's 2-1 victory over Lake Forest (Ill.).

UST (2-0) outshot the Foresters 27-13 in Saturday's 3-2 comeback victory. But on Sunday, Lake Forest had a 34-15 advantage in shots on net. Torpy stopped 44 of 47 shots on and hled kill 12 of 14 LFC power-play tries on the weekend.

Anna Williams scored UST's first goal. Allison Borgstrom broke a 1-1 tie with a power-play goal late in the second frame, assisted by Demi Cooper. That capped a threepoint weekend for Borgstrom.

The Tommies' last four wins since last season have all come by one-goal. They play two home games next Friday night and Saturday afternoon against UW-Stevens Point.
