Women's hockey win extends conference unbeaten streak

Maddy Fiedler and Rachel Werdin each scored two goals as No. 8-ranked St. Thomas cruised past Concordia 7-1 Saturday in women's hockey play in Mendota Heights. The teams tied 3-3 in overtime on Friday night.

Paige Kittelson stopped 23 of 24 shots in net for the second-place Tommies (11-3-5 overall, 7-1-4 MIAC), who remain one point behind first-place Hamline with six conference games to go.

The Toms, who scored just 16 seconds into the contest, have a 10-game MIAC unbeaten streak (6-0-4).

Amanda Flemming scored early in the third period to trim the lead to 5-1 for the Cobbers (9-7-3, 6-3-3).
