W. Hockey shutout streak rolls on with 6-0 home win

Senior Kenzie Torpy recorded her fourth consecutive shutout in a nine-day span to lead No. 9-ranked St. Thomas Women's Hockey to a 6-0 win over St. Catherine Saturday afternoon in Mendota Heights. Torpy had 26 saves Saturday and 39 on the weekend as she won her 52nd career game and posted her 15th career shutout.

UST has a current streak of 253:54 on the clock  without allowing a goal.

Six different players scored the goals for UST. Rachel Werdin and Maddy Fiedler each had a goal and an assist. Sam Auman, Estee Franz, Chhloe McEnelly and Allison Parnell also chipped in goals.

The Tommies (8-0 overall, 4-0 MIAC) are tied for first place with Augsburg and have a 21-game unbeaten streak (16-0-5) dating back to last January. They are off next weekend play the Auggies Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
