Senior Kenzie Torpy stopped 20 of 21 shots and No. 3-ranked St. Thomas Women's Hockey never trailed in Friday night's 3-1 home-ice victory over No. 9-ranked Gustavus in Mendota Heights.

The teams close out the MIAC weekend series Saturday (2 p.m.) on GAC's home ice in St. Peter.

St. Thomas (13-0 overall, 7-0 MIAC) has won 14 in a row since last season and has a 26-game unbeaten streak (21-0-5) over the last 13 months. Friday's win secured a St. Thomas winning season for the 19th year in a row.

Tommie hockey and basketball teams are a combined 11-0 so far in 2019.

Torpy (13-0) recorded her 57th career victory. The Tommie defense has allowed just seven goals in their 14-game win streak.

The Toms received points from seven different players, led by Shae McLean with a goal and an assist. Demi Cooper's power-play goal started the scoring. The Purple later broke a 1-1 tie with goals by McLean and Rachel Werdin over a 5:18 span, and both goalies pitched shutouts over the game's final 37:54.
