No. 2-ranked St. Thomas Women's Hockey posted a three-point weekend and stayed in the MIAC lead with Saturday afternoon's 1-1 tie at Concordia-Moorhead. St. Thomas pushed its unbeaten streak to 31 games (24-0-7).
Tommie freshman Anna Solheim scored midway through the first period for a 1-0 lead. The Cobbers scored a power-play goal 8:00 into the final period to tie.
St. Thomas has allowed just 12 goals in 18 games, and 33 goals in the 31-game unbeaten streak (12 shutouts). Concordia's goal was just the second third-period goal surrendured this season by St. Thomas.
Kenzie Torpy stopped 16 of 17 shots over 65:00 for the Purple, who hold a two-point lead on Hamline with six MIAC games left. The Pipers tied Bethel 4-4 on Saturday, and play St. Thomas in the final week of the regular season.
