Senior Kenzie Torpy stopped all 17 shots, recorded her 20th career shutout, and posted a conference-record 64th career victory in goal to lead No. 1-ranked Tommie Women's Hockey to Friday night's 3-0 win at St. Ben's in MIAC women's hockey play in St. Cloud.

Alyssa Wallace scored two goals and Maddy Fiedler had a goal and an assist for St. Thomas (20-0-2 overall, 13-0-2 MIAC).

The Purple are unbeaten in their last 35 games (28-0-7). They hold a two-point lead over second-place Hamline with three MIAC games to go in the regular season. Those teams play twice next weekend.

Gustavus' Danielle Justice won 63 games from 2008-12 to hold the old victory record for conference goalies.

St. Thomas has held opponents to two or less goals in 21 of 22 games this season.

The teams close out the weekend series Saturday in Mendota Heights in a 5 p.m. contest.
