Drew Fielding
Title: Assistant Coach - Goaltenders
The 2018-19 season will mark Drew's first season as the University of St. Thomas Men's and Women's Goaltender coach following three seasons of playing professional hockey. Drew brings a wealth of knowledge to the University of St. Thomas goalies.
Drew was a highly-decorated goalie at the University of St. Thomas. During his four-year career he contributed to four MIAC conference titles, one playoff title, and was part of UST's two NCAA tournament appearances. In addition to great team success, he established four school career records:
  • Wins
  • Shutouts
  • Save Percentage
  • Goals Against Average.
After his senior season of 2014-15, he received the Sid Watson Award (D-III National Player of the Year) and USCHO D-III National Player of the Year. His other individual accomplishments include:
  • two-time MIAC Player of the Year
  • two-time ACHA West All-America
  • three-time MIAC first-team All-Conference
  • three-time team MVP
  • CoSIDA Academic All-America.
Since graduating in 2015, he played three seasons of professional hockey, predominantly at the ECHL level. He received multiple AHL call-ups and played in the 2016-17 ECHL all-star game for the Adirondack Thunder.
Drew currently works as the Goaltending Director for MAP Goaltending located in Mendota Heights.
