St. Thomas Women's Soccer gave up a goal with nine seconds left in regulation and dropped a 1-0 decision Saturday afternoon at Macalester.

The Tommies (7-2-1, 3-2) had an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal, and an 8-6 edge in corner kicks, but were unable to convert a go-ahead goal.

St. Thomas has dropped two recent conference games after each one was tied 0-0 through 84:00 on the game clock.

The Toms are tied for third place near the halfway point of the 11-game MIAC race. Augsburg (4-0-1) and St. Olaf (4-1) hold the top two spots, with the Tommies, Gustavus and Hamline at 3-2, and St. Catherine at 2-1-2.

Next up is Saturday's 3:30 p.m. home clash with Carleton at South Field as part of Homecoming and Family Weekend.
